Apple bao zi
You may know so well about Din Tai Fung‘s Bao zi, but you’ll never find so delicious “apple Bao zi” from din’s menu, because it is from Widerways very special home made recipe.
Mixed with fine butter and sugar, the flour gets spirit itself! Sweet and fragrant, that’s all the flavors you can get after a bite!
Ingredients
- 2 crunchy and healthy Widerways red apples
- 2kg flour
- 1 package yeast powder
- 10g butter
- a little sesame, some sugar candy
Steps
- Mixed the flour with yeast powder and water, stir well, then put still and wait for about 30-40 minutes;
- Cut the crunchy Widerways apple into square pieces. Heat the pan, put butter until it’s melt, then put in apple pieces and sugar candy, stir-fry until sugar candy is fully melt;
- Get above stuffing ready in a bowl, put some sesame on the top;
- After the flour is fermented, cut it into small pieces and make it into a round thick piece. Put the apple stuffing on the middle, then wrap it into a round bao zi;
- Steam the wrapped bao zi for about 17 minutes. Then it’s ready.
- Tips
- Put as much stuffing as possbile in the bao zi, it will taste great!
